Survival in Pop Culture

~ Survival in Film ~
Whether its post-apocalyptic zombie wars, or gritty SHTF scenario's, here is a list of films with survival themes we enjoy.
Under Construction

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington is a bad ass on a mission in a post-apocalyptic land. You must watch this more than once to appreciate the plots level of detail. MUST SEE.
Resident Evil Afterlife - Milla Jovovich. Enough said. Fun zombie flick. Worth your time.
A Boy and His Dog - A young Don Johnson in one of his first on screen performances. Gotta love his talking dog. A classic survival movie.
Red Dawn - Every red-blooded American boy fantasized about repelling Russians attacking. Red Dawn brings that fantasy to life. Go Wolverines!!! MUST SEE.
Rambo First Blood -If you haven't seen Rambo 1st Blood, leave this blog now. Great survival / tactical ideas, such as jumping from a cliff onto a speeding army truck. Stallone's monologue at the end will leave you in tears. It does for me every time.
Castaway - Wilson! Biggest lesson; get used to eating fish when TSHTF, and have a dentist around.
Surviving the Game - On our to-see list.
The Edge -  On our to-see list.
The Day After Tomorrow - On our to-see list.
