Heather pans on a huge force of cops on the other side of town, at least a mile away from heavy looting. She keeps bringing up how the same thing happened on August 10 2014. The cops ignored the looting and instead occupied themselves with a few peaceful demonstrators.
Got a few likes on Facebook you wish your friends couldn't see? Here's
how to hide them from your friends' view, without missing out on those
pages' updates in your news feed.
Facebook likes are a bit on the "guilty pleasure" side, you may want to

hide individual likes from your "About" page—but it will let you hide whole categories.

BUT, the method below is an easy round-a-bout way to see who has viewed your Facebook profile.

Follow the 7 steps in bold below to learn how to see what profiles are viewing your profile. Hopefully one of them will be that co-worker you dream about. :-) Thanks to WikiHow for this great information.

1. Understand this trick. This trick will give you insight into who views your profile, but Facebook isn't confirming exactly who they are. This list that Facebook keeps is determined by a lot of different factors: who comments on your posts, who you message frequently, AND who looks at your Facebook the most often (among other things).

You'll have to learn how to interpret the list that this trick gives you. For example, look out for people showing up towards the top of the list who you know you don't message and you don't comment on their stuff. If someone you never interact with shows up pretty high on your list, you'll know it's because they're looking at your page.

2. Open your web browser. You will need one which allows you to view the source code for a website.

3. Navigate to your profile/timeline.

4. View the source code. In Google Chrome, you can simply right click the background and choose "View page source". Other browsers usually have this option under the "View" menu.

5. Use the webpage search function. In Chrome and Firefox, click Control/Command+F to open the search box. This will search all of the text on any given page for the term you type in. You will want to search for "Friendslist" or "InitialChatFriendsList".

6. Look up the individual profiles. The numbers which immediately follow are the identification numbers of the profiles of your friends. You will see a string of numbers, each set in quotations and followed by a -2 or a -3, and so on. Copy the string without the - and the final number. Paste this after the ".com/" when looking at the main Facebook page. This will bring up the profile so you know who it belongs to.

The profiles in the list are listed in order by who visits your timeline most recently.

7. Look up a specific profile. You can also see where a specific profile falls in this list, but you will need that person's Facebook user id number. This can be difficult. Search their id number on your timeline and check where it comes up in the Friendslist to see how often they view your page.

The simplest way to find the user id is to view a picture that they uploaded. You will see a series of numbers in the address at the top. One of those strings will be the user id. You will have to simply test until you find it. The user ids are often about 9 digits long, but it varies depending on when you signed up.

That's it. As with anything in life, you get out of this what you put into it. Spend a few minutes viewing source code and analyzing the data, and who knows, maybe that co-worker you dream about has been dreaming about you.
Enter Dark Net... An anonymous internet, many experts say is larger than the traditional World Wide Web. Thanks to Ask The Computer Guy for the incredible article and directions below.

Step 1

To access Dark Net, go to the Tor project website and download the Tor Browser Bundle below. This bundle is just a zip file that contains all you need to use Tor. There is no installation to go through, so you can save it to a USB key to carry around. It also contains a secure portable FireFox browser as well as the connection application necessary to create the secure tunnels.

(New York Times)

Roberts Facing Medical Option on 2nd Seizure
Because the seizure was his second — he had a similar one in 1993 — he meets the criteria for epilepsy,
and he and his doctors will have to decide whether he should take
medication to prevent further seizures, said neurologists not involved
in his care. (Neither the chief justice nor his doctors would comment
yesterday.)

The decision will involve weighing the risk of more
seizures against the risk of side effects from the drugs. Major seizures
can be a frightening and traumatic experience for patients and family
members. Patients are advised to avoid heights and not to swim alone,
and many states bar them from driving until they can provide evidence
that the disease is under control.

But the drugs can have troubling side effects, including drowsiness or insomnia,
weight loss or weight gain, rashes, irritability, mental slowing and
forgetfulness. Many patients can be treated with minimal side effects,
doctors say, but it may take trial and error to find the right drug.

The
chief justice was released yesterday from Penobscot Bay Medical Center
in Rockport, Me., one day after being rushed there from his summer home
because of the seizure. A statement from the Supreme Court on Monday said that tests at the hospital had found “no cause for concern” and that the cause of the seizure was unknown.

Even
though his two seizures occurred 14 years apart, they meet the criteria
for epilepsy because they were “unprovoked,” meaning that they were not
caused by a head injury, a drug reaction or another known factor.

About
2.7 million people in the United States have epilepsy, and in 70
percent of the cases the cause is unknown, according to the Epilepsy
Foundation. Neurologists sometimes describe seizures as an electrical
storm in the brain, a brief episode of heightened activity that can
cause mild symptoms that are barely noticeable, or loss of consciousness
and convulsions, as in the case of the chief justice.
“If he
takes medication, he is likely to do fine and be seizure-free,” said Dr.
Gregory L. Barkley, a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy and is
clinical vice chairman of the neurology department at Henry Ford
Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Barkley said he did not expect the illness or the treatment to affect the chief justice’s ability to do his job.

But
if Chief Justice Roberts’s two seizures were so far apart, is another
really likely, or likely to occur soon enough to warrant taking a drug
every day? Neurologists differ.

“I would recommend taking
medication,” Dr. Barkley said. “The intervals tend to get shorter and
shorter, and people tend to have recurrent seizures.”

He
explained: “The brain learns from practice. The more you practice, the
better you get, whether you’re playing the piano or having seizures. The
more you have, the more you’re going to have. Most neurologists feel
that the best way to intervene is to get the seizures under control as
quickly as possible.”

Dr. Robert S. Fisher, director of the epilepsy center at Stanford University
and a past president of the American Epilepsy Society, said: “In my
view, it would be reasonable not to treat. It sounds like he went 14
years between seizures, and that’s a lot of pills to take to prevent the
next seizure 14 years from now. The new ones are better than the old
ones in terms of side effects, but they all have potential side effects
and risks.”

Doctors say a complete medical workup is needed to
find out if the two reported seizures were really the only ones that
have occurred, because people with epilepsy can have mild seizures that
they are not aware of. Neurologists often ask family members whether
patients have certain symptoms, like daydreaming or blanking out for
brief intervals, and not snapping out of it when others try to speak to
them. Other symptoms may include dizziness, sensations in the stomach,
feelings of déjà vu or noticing odd smells or tastes in the mouth —
experiences that the patient may not recognize as seizures.

Often,
Dr. Barkley said, a patient will report having had one seizure, but
when asked about these other symptoms will say, “Oh, yes, that happens
all the time.”

If such symptoms are frequent, it may sway the decision in favor of treatment.
Dr. Cynthia L. Harden, a professor of neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center,
said it would be important to perform brain-wave studies to look for
abnormal electrical activity in the brain, to get an idea of where the
seizures may be starting and how frequent they are.

Dr. Harden
said such studies during sleep were especially useful, and could help in
making the decision about treatment. In people with epilepsy, Dr.
Harden said, sleep deprivation can be a potent cause of seizures. The
chief justice has had a busy schedule recently, including a two-week
trip to Europe during which he attended conferences and taught.

Epilepsy
is a common condition among Americans. The risk of having a single
seizure in one’s lifetime is 9 percent. By Chief Justice Roberts’s age,
52, the risk is 7 percent to 8 percent. About 3 percent of patients have
a recurrence, and 1 percent of Americans at any one time are under
treatment for epilepsy.

Judd Jensen, a neurologist at Penobscot
Bay Medical Center who officials said treated Chief Justice Roberts,
declined to answer any questions late yesterday afternoon in his office,
which he shares with two neurologists and two cardiologists. “I can’t
answer those questions,” Dr. Jensen said.
Dr. W. Allen Hauser, a professor of neurology and epidemiology at Columbia University,
estimated that the chief justice had about a 60 percent chance of
having another seizure at some point, based on research on other
patients who had had two seizures.

“I would say there is no
standard recommendation,” Dr. Hauser said. “With multiple seizures, my
recommendation generally is to put patients on antiseizure medication,
and I think that would be the recommendation of most neurologists.

“That
said,” he went on, “the reason one doesn’t immediately put everybody on
the medications when they have seizures is that there are side effects
to all the medications.”
“Fifteen percent will have some problem
with the first drug that will lead to discontinuation and a different
drug,” Dr. Hauser added. “Virtually everybody will have some side
effects.”
Turkey says Syria downed its plane

Turkey says its air force jet that disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea Friday, was shot down by Syria.

After a two-hour security meeting led by Turkish Prime Minister Recep
Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey issued a statement, saying the warplane was
downed by Syrian forces and that the two Turkish pilots remain missing.

without saying what they would be. Erdogan said the plane went down in
the Sea about 13 kilometers away from the Syrian town of Latakia.
Four Turkish gunboats and three helicopters are searching for the

The friendliness of Turkey towards the United States has declined

ISTANBUL — Syrian government forces shelled rebel strongholds across the
country on Sunday, opponents of the government said, while the main
opposition group in exile, the Syrian National Council, chose a new
leader...

The Syrian National Council, formed last fall, has been plagued by
infighting and has been criticized as ineffective, amounting to little
more than a front for the long-exiled Syrian branch of the Muslim
Brotherhood with little influence inside the country. Its top post was
supposed to rotate every three months, but Bourhan Ghalioun, another
exiled academic, held on to it until an outcry over his most recent
re-election in May, especially from inside Syria, prompted him to step
down.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6333543019536297852.post-58884342304865476812012-05-31T21:02:00.003-07:002012-05-31T21:02:29.368-07:0051 free tools to stay invisible on the internet(Survival Station)
Americans confidence in the economy fell the most in eight
months as worries about the weak jobs, housing and stock markets
continue to rattle them.
The Conference Board, a private research group, said on Tuesday
that its Consumer Confidence Index now stands at 64.9, down from a
revised 68.7 in April.
The May figure, which represents the biggest drop since October
2011 when the measure fell about 6 points, shows that consumers need
more encouraging news before their concerns start to dissipate. Despite

Spain's economic woes deepened alarmingly Friday as the government
revealed that unemployment rising to near 25 percent, a day after a
credit ratings agency downgraded the country's debt rating and warned it
faced an uphill battle to get a grip on its finances.

Even if the eurozone finds the financial capacity to bail out Spain,
economists warn the crisis could then envelop Italy, the eurozone's
third-largest economy, which owes around (EURO)1.9 trillion ($2.5
trillion), more than double Spain's (EURO)734 billion."The situation is very bad. There's no work," said Enrique Sebastian,a
48-year-old unemployed surgery room assistant as he left one of Madrid's
unemployment offices.
By Bev Harris
(Black Box Voting)
In a major step towards global centralization of election processes, the world's dominant Internet voting company has purchased the USA's dominant election results reporting company.

When you view your local or state election results on the Internet, on portals which often appear to be owned by the county elections division, in over 525 US jurisdictions you are actually redirected to a private corporate site controlled by SOE software, which operates under the name ClarityElections.com.

The good news is that this firm promptly reports precinct-level detail in downloadable spreadsheet format. As reported by BlackBoxVoting.org in 2008, the bad news is that this centralizes one middleman access point for over 525 jurisdictions in AL, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, KY, MI, KS, IL, IN, NC, NM, MN, NY, SC, TX, UT, WA. And growing.

As local election results funnel through SOE's servers (typically before they reach the public elsewhere), those who run the computer servers for SOE essentially get "first look" at results and the ability to immediately and privately examine vote details throughout the USA.
The Obama amnesty plan officially begins this week, according to a mainstream newspaper that obtained internal Homeland Security documents outlining “sweeping changes” in immigration enforcement that will halt the deportation of illegal aliens with no criminal records.

Much has been reported about the administration’s intention to implement a stealth amnesty plan if congress doesn’t act to spare the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens, but this is the first confirmation that it’s come to fruition. Beginning this week the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will review all deportation cases and start a nationwide “training program” to assure that enforcement agents and prosecuting attorneys don’t remove illegal immigrants who haven’t been convicted of crimes.
Breitbart told the CPAC crowd last month that the videos would reveal Obama during a time when he was meeting a “bunch of silver ponytails” – referring to Weather Underground terror group members Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

Ayers and Dohrn reportedly launched Obama’s political career with a fundraiser in their Chicago home.

“I’ve got videos – this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart said at CPAC, promising they would show how “racial division and class warfare are central” to the “hope and change” that Obama”sold in 2008.”

These alleged tapes would not be the first thorn Breitbart stuck in Obama's side. Remember that Breitbart broke the story of corruption within ACORN, the sexploits of Anthony Weiner, and the many quasi-criminal actions of labor union operatives. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6333543019536297852.post-24710462945078360002012-03-01T23:00:00.000-08:002012-03-01T23:00:26.891-08:00Google alternative that doesn't track you

With Google's new privacy policy making waves in the government and the private sector, it's no secret that Google logs, tracks and identify's every keystroke you type.
Instead, take a line from Linux users out there.... use Duck Duck Go

The search engine features some revolutionary ideas and is now the default search engine in Linux Mint 12.
Here’s a quick introduction to DuckDuckGo, its philosophy and its features.

No tracking
Unlike all major search engines, DuckDuckGo does not collect or share personal information. There is no search history, personal profile or any other information about you gathered, stored, sold, used or leaked.
For more information on this, you can read their privacy policy.

No bubbling
In other search engines, search results are personalized based on your Web history and personal profile. In other words, if two people search for exactly the same thing, they won’t necessarily see the same results. Based on the personal information the search engines have on them, different customized results will be shown.
DuckDuckGo does not gather such personal information and does not customize search results. So if two people search for the same thing, they’ll get the same results.
For more information on this, you can read this illustrated guide.

Features
DuckDuckGo is full of features.. and it’s hard to summarize them all. So let’s have a look at a few of them.
DuckDuckGo comes with something called the !bang syntax. Using that syntax you can quickly search using other search engines…Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6333543019536297852.post-32476426740929159042012-03-01T22:56:00.000-08:002012-03-01T22:56:19.240-08:00Survival Shelter Network(The Verge)
Somewhere in the old Cincinnati-Dayton Defense Area that spans Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana sits a $1.5 million “man cave.” I made my way to the site on a warm fall morning with Google Maps and GPS coordinates supplied by my real estate advisers, Matthew and Leigh Ann Fulkerson of 20th Century Castles, LLC. Built in a decommissioned Nike missile site, the residence boasts a kitchen, four bedrooms, two baths, an exercise room, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and an elevator for lowering the owner’s classic automobiles below the surface. On clear days, the doors that once exposed anti-ballistic missile for launch can be opened to let sunshine penetrate the otherwise dimly lit basement.
Worse, the agreement spans virtually all of the countries in the developed world, including all of the EU, the United States, Switzerland and Japan.

Many of these countries have already signed or ratified it, and the cogs are still turning, with the final real fight playing out in the EU parliament.
The majority of Lamar's campaign donations have come from the media industry. Take a look:
