Government Shutdown. The IRS will still collect, but they won't pay refunds

Our elected officials will not make a decision to enact a budget because they don't want to be the bad guy to the American people. Well by not enacting a budget, it makes every one of them look like fools.

If the government shuts down, the IRS will still be collecting taxes, but they will not be paying refunds.

From Yahoo! News. CLICK HERE for entire story:

Would I still get my tax refund from the IRS?

Yes, but it could be delayed. The IRS will close, and it has said it will likely suspend processing refunds for the roughly 30 percent of Americans who file paper, rather than electronic, returns. It also likely won't answer its hotline--which could cause some stress at the height of tax season.

But don't think this gets you off the hook: You still have to file your returns by the regular deadline, which is April 18 this year.
