CA Governor Brown delays vehicle registration

"Millions of California drivers may not be getting their car registration renewals in the mail. Californians began temporarily paying a higher vehicle license fee in 2009, and it is set to expire June 30. But Democrats want to keep that higher rate intact. Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill to delay vehicle registration renewal notices, so that Californians will have to pay the higher rate when it raises in August." Forcing the public to pay a bill late.

Californians will be denied at the DMV if they go to pay their license renewal bill on time! Brown is telling us that it's okay to pay past due. In fact, he's forcing us to pay the bill late, so we pay the higher rate. This is extortion. How can he get away with this?
